AUTHOR: Sachi Bliss
FROM: My Special Valentine
PAGES: 96
RELEASED: 2013

“That’s the Traitor’s Gate,” bulong ni Quillan.
Marcie held her breath.
“’Yung nasa likod niya, that’s the Bloody Tower,” tukoy nito sa toreng dating pinagkulungan kay Queen Elizabeth I ng baliw nitong stepsister.
Right. And I am the Bloody Traitor here, she thought.

  • The setting! Yay London! I’ve been to London,  at talagang naka-relate ako sa setting at descriptions ng  landmarks na nabanggit sa nobela.
  • I like how the novel  looks like a travelogue sa pagkaka-describe ng writer sa landmarks sa London. At nagamit talaga nang husto ang bawat landmarks sa London para ma-develop ang romance between Quillan (the hero) and Marcie (the heroine).
  • Perfect combination lang sina Quillan at Marcie. Quillan is a TV director while Marcie is a writer.
  • I learned a lot on how TV series abroad are developed and created through this novel.
  • The teaser! But do take note na walang adultery sa nobelang ito!
  • The cover! Gosh! Quillan was super handsome. And his name is also nice.
  • Ang daming kilig scenes... and take note, halos lahat ng kilig scenes ay naganap sa ilan sa mga famous landmarks sa  London kaya mas nakakakilig.
  • It embodies the goal of “Romancing the Globe” imprint ng MSV dahil feel na feel mong nasa London ka habang binabasa mo ito. The writer was good in depicting London and the British  people.
  • Love scenes between the leads was intense yet intimate. Nagandahan ako sa pagkakasulat ng love scene.
Quillan was kissing her like she had never been kissed before... a mix of tenderness and passion. Her mouth opened and moved against him. Marcie was so into it, she never realized she was slowly being  led to his room, as  their clothes left a messy trail on  the floor. (pg. 76)

He buried his face on the hollow of her neck, and his arms held her as if he wouldn’t let go. In that one moment, Marcie felt and knew he was hers. And she was... his. (pg. 79)

MAS  MAGUGUSTUHAN KO  SANA ITO KUNG...

  • Nabitin ako ng slight... hehe. Hindi kasi na-resolve yung conflict between Marcie and her family, or hindi explicitly pinakita sa  nobela. Well, dahil marahil it ran out of pages.
Ang ganda rin ng conflict niya and she deserves a story of her own.
